This course is aimed at managers, engineers, technicians, appointed individuals or persons involved in the health and safety aspects of electrical equipment.  The course is based on the IEE Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment and covers the law and the scope of legislation for the testing of electrical equipment.     

18th IET Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671 : 2018

Up To 70% FUNDING The 18th edition course is a new course that replaces the 17th edition course from July 2018 onward. On January 1st 2019 all electrical installations are to comply with BS 7671:2018.

C&G Level 4 Diploma Advice & Guidance (Apprenticeship)

The Advice & Guidance apprenticeship is aimed at individuals employed within supporting roles who provide information and guidance onto others. Candidates should operate within support networks and be responsible for a caseload of clients to enable them to meet the requirements of the mandatory units.

City & Guilds 2394-01 & 2395-01 Inspection & Testing Combined Course

2394-01 Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations and 2395-01 Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations. We offer these qualifications as a combined course. On completion and certification, the candidates will have obtained the necessary preparation to test, inspect and certify electrical installations.  

City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

The Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is suitable for managers and supervisors, in all industry sectors, who have responsibilities for health and safety and wish to develop their skills further. It is also suitable for those new to a health and safety role, or health and safety practitioners who wish to progress their career with a professional qualification. This course is accredited by City & Guilds.
UP TO 70% FUNDING SUBJECT TO ELIGIBILITY This qualification is for learners who wish to obtain an understanding of the concepts, processes and practices involved with the design, construction management and the initial verification of electrical installations. The emphasis is on the safe and ergonomic design on an installation which complies with relevant statutes, regulations; industry standards, and sound engineering practices. City and Guilds Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice

The City and Guilds Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice is suitable for Managers who have responsibilities for health and safety and wish to develop their skills further.  The qualification is for candidates who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in managing health and safety for the workplace.

Contact Centre Operations Certificate Level 2 (QCF)

This qualification is suitable for those who have particular customer service and administrative job roles within the contact centre industry.   SFI funding up to 70% available - *eligibility criteria applies*    

Contact Centre Operations Level 3 (Apprenticeship)

Covering all the essential knowledge and skills required for a successful career in contact centre operations, this qualification is ideal for those who are able to access workplace-based qualifications.

EAL 603/3929/9 Installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Points

This course covers all the main skills required to install, fault find and inspect and test electric vehicle charging points. This is a new sector where electricians can train to become a specialist installer. Given the high prices of petrol and diesel, more people are turning to electric vehicles.      

Level 2 & 3 NVQ Certificate/Diploma in Tourism/Travel Services

The NVQ offers a wide range of optional job-specific units including:   Collect and maintain tourism information and provide advice. Display stock and /or manage the receipt of materials. Resolve customer service problems. Build and maintain relationships and customer profiles with customers not present or face to face. Sell tourism and travel services, products or multi-sector air travel. Assist customers prior to and after travelling. Set up and maintain promotional displays and provide related advice. Process travel services bookings and / or complete foreign exchange transactions. Plan and conduct welcoming events or arrange travel itineraries. Assist with travel and tourism problems and emergencies. Lead people on a guided tour and / or manage delivery of a tour. Present a commentary for a guided tour or assist with transfers. Research travel and destination information. Employment rights and responsibilities in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sector. Obtain and analyse customer feedback and / or monitor business performance.   The City & Guilds qualifications in Travel Services and Tourism Services are aimed at those: performing daily tasks in leisure and tourism services and wish to develop and enhance their skills and knowledge further. already working in a tourism or travel services role (see next page for typical job roles)    

Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy (QCF)

This qualification is for learners wanting to acquire knowledge of Independent Advocacy and the role of an independent advocate. The qualification covers the principles of independent advocacy, the independent advocacy role, communication and equality and inclusion within independent advocacy with an aim to provide learners with an understanding of what independent advocacy is and the principles which underpin good practice.

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Operational Delivery (Wales)

The qualification can help you build on your existing experience and improve your skills and prospects of career progression and getting a more senior role in the workplace. Upon successful completion of the course, you will have: • attained Nationally accredited qualifications • a salary while you learn • the ability to apply the knowledge gained from the course to your work Typical Job title(s) / Job role(s) Operational Delivery Officer The work is varied and involves working on the front line in different public-facing environments dealing with different types of customers and delivering a range of public services.

Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) Wales & NI

This course is suitable for candidates who work in children and young people’s services in the health and social care sector. Some of the diverse settings and services includes: Residential Services for Children and Young People Day Services for Children and Young People Family Care Centres Community Based Domiciliary Care Services for Children Community Based Services for Children and Young People This new qualification came into force from January 2011.  It replaces the Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)    SFI funding up to 70% available - *eligibility criteria applies*

Level 3 Diploma in Independent Advocacy (QCF)

This qualification is for learners who work as Independent Advocates in either an employed or voluntary capacity. The qualification allows learners to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment in an Independent Advocacy role.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Wales & NI)

This course is suitable for candidates who work as managers in health and social care and children and young people’s services in the health and social care sector.   There are six Diplomas available in this award to meet the needs of specific sectors of practice.   SFI funding up to 70% available - *eligibility criteria applies*  

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (Children and Young People’s Advanced Practice)

This qualification guides and assesses development of knowledge, understanding and skills in leadership and management practice within residential children and young people’s services. The course serves as the required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements for the care sector in Wales and NI as well as demonstrating continuing professional development.  Designed for those candidates whose job description does not support entry onto the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (Residential and/or Management).   SFI funding up to 70% available - *eligibility criteria applies*
