Overview

This Level 3 qualification will enable learners to demonstrate and recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding to demonstrate their competence of working in a logistics environment. Candidates must be working in a logistics environment who want to progress into supervision, team leading and management roles.

Key information

The qualification requires proof of competence across both mandatory and optional units. 

The qualifications will be delivered through work-based learning, which will include a one to one session taking place every 4-6 weeks at a time suitable for learner and employer.

  • Make an effective contribution to a business in the logistics sector

Optional units

  • Improve performance in logistics operations
  • Allocate and check work in your team
  • Maintain the safety and security of hazardous goods
  • Supervise the receipt, storage or dispatch of goods
  • Minimise the environmental impact of logistics operations
  • Arrange the transportation of goods using multiple transport modes
  • Schedule logistics operations to meet customer requirements
  • Contribute to the provision of customer service
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements
  • Respond to problems
  • Apply technology 

To successfully complete the qualification, learners will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge criteria derived from the National Occupational Standards for those working in a logistic environment.

As learners progress through the qualification, they will create an e-portfolio of the naturally occurring evidence of the practical activity undertaken in the workplace to demonstrate knowledge and competency.
