A new home for GCS Training
A new home for GCS Training
The staff, including managers, assessors and administrators, are now based at the newly acquired Hill House Hospital site at the rear of the Tycoch campus, where a number of exciting developments will result in state-of-the-art facilities for our employer engagement activities in the future. In addition, learners are attending Sketty Hall and Canolfan Gorseinon for their courses and training.
The news from the Welsh Government regarding future support for training for businesses is not good – Skills for Industry will finish in September 2015 and funding for Work Based Learning and ‘core funding’ will require substantial employer contribution (so called Co-Investment) from this summer.
However, GCS Training is working hard to acquire additional funding from a broad range of sources to enable us to continue supporting our local business community in meeting their skills and training needs.
GCS Training’s managers are proactive in meeting employers and key strategic stakeholders to ensure we understand your needs and that we develop new training and qualifications in advance of when employers require them.
If any employers have specific training or skills development needs we provide a sympathetic ear and will make every effort to meet these requirements. Please contact Amanda Peploe-Williams on 01792 284428 if you wish to make an enquiry or if you have any specific queries about GCS Training activities.
Customer Feedback
“Over many years, we have worked with GCS Training to train a large number of apprentices and I am very happy with the training my staff receive. Customers are pleased with the work completed and our turnover has increased.
