This route is for managers who have CMI Level 5 or above, Diploma in Management and Leadership.
Chartered Managers are consistent high performers, committed current best practice and ethical standards, Becoming a Chartered Manager sets you apart by providing an independent endorsement of your ability to manage and lead, demonstrates your managerial competence as well as your functional ability and proves you possess the transferable skills needed to progress your career. The exemption upgrade builds on the knowledge and expertise you have demonstrated through completion of your qualification. The exemption upgrade is completed in the following way:
1. Complete an application form to confirm management experience and reflect on the applied learning you have gained throughout your qualification, the improvement in you management practice and the positive, measurable contribution you have made to your organisation.
2. The completed form is forwarded to CMI for validation and on approval either Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow grade will be confirmed dependent on experience.
- Minimum of 3 year’s management experience
- CMI Level 5 or above Management Diploma
- Be able to demonstrate effective management practice within the last 18 months
Candidates can progress on to the Level 7 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Executive & Strategic
Management and Leadership or obtain advice reference other HE qaulifcations.
- Quick and efficient way of becoming Chartered

This Highfield qualification is aimed at individuals who are, or intend to be food handlers working in catering and hospitality industries, food retail, manufacturing and Health and Social Care provisions.
It is also appropriate for those providing services to catering premises including pest control operators, maintenance engineers, cleaners and laundry and delivery personnel.
It is recommended that staff that prepare open high risk foods or handle food and have a supervisory role must have training to a level equivalent to a Level 2 in Food Safety within 3 months of starting work.
