NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
Current Fire Legislation puts the onus on employers as the responsible person to assess and respond to fire safety risks. The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management will help organisations to meet their responsibilities under this legislation.
The course covers Units FC1 & FC2, entitled “Fire Safety and Risk Management” and includes:
• Principles of fire and explosions, their causes and methods of prevention
• Principles of ‘means of escape’ considering the contributory factors of the building and its contents/usage
• Fire Risk assessments process
• Legislation relevant to fire
Consists of FC1 exam plus a practical assessment for (FC2)
Suitable for managers and supervisory staff who need to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation. This qualification should equip holders to carry out fire risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of fire protective and preventive measures required. It is therefore also suitable for people moving into fire adviser roles.
The five day top-up course is open to existing holders of the NEBOSH National General Certificate or NEBOSH Diploma taken within the last five years. This course requires applicants to have previously gained NEBOSH Unit NGC1. This unit entitled “Management of Health and Safety” forms part of the NEBOSH National General Certificate. Delegates who have achieved the NEBOSH National General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma Part 1 or 2 or Unit A of the NEBOSH National Diploma within the last five years are therefore eligible to enrol upon the course.
