Course Overview: 

This qualification is for learners who work as Independent Advocates in either an employed or voluntary capacity. The qualification allows learners to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment in an Independent Advocacy role.

Entry Requirements: 

This qualification is avilable to anyone who is capable of reaching the required standards and meeting the assessment criteria for the units in the setting in which they practice.  It has been developed free from any barriers that restrict access or progression therby promoting equal opportunities.

Course Delivery: 

Course Structure- 4 mandatory units
 
·        Purpose and principles of Independent Advocacy
·        Providing Independent Advocacy Support
·        Maintaining the Independent Advocacy relationship
·        Understand the social context of Independent Advocacy
         + 2 optional units up to 15 credits
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
With the support of your assessor you will undertake work based assessments, observations, assignments, case studies, statements and work based evidence.
