Course Overview: 

This framework is designed to meet the skills needs of employers of all sizes across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Wales. It can help to attract new talent into a senior business administration role or to up-skill the workforce.

Entry Requirements: 

We would require a pre-course meeting with you and your employer to discuss the course and to establish that this level and course content is suitable. We will also check that the candidate has the ability to demonstrate competence in administrative and managerial working practices within their current work role.

Course Delivery: 

The Higher Apprenticeship Framework at Level 4 consists of the following qualifications:

  1. OCR QCF/NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration (10385)
  2. OCR Level 4 Diploma in Business and Professional Administration Knowledge (10337)
  3. Essential Skills (Wales) Level 2 in: Communication, Application of Number and Digital Literacy

You will have learned your skills on the job or by attending training workshop courses and your assessor will help you to identify if there are any skills gaps which need to be filled prior to assessment. The QCF/NVQ is a competence based qualification, delivered through work based learning and workshops.  

Progression Opportunities: 

It allows candidates to progress into a more senior role or possibly (depending on job role) to progress on to other qualifications such as Level 5 QCF/NVQ or Foundation Degrees
