Entry requirements: Ability to complete assignments at Level 5 (support is available with this requirement should learners not have completed academic work for a while. Tutor support will be provided throughout the course duration)
The award consists of 1 unit. Students will attend college for 1 day and will need to complete a 3000 word assignment to complete the qualification. Students will have 6 months to complete the course.
Unit 1: Introduction to Management Coaching and Mentoring
This unit is about introducing the practice of management coaching and mentoring and the impact on Human Resources Development and performance.
Assessment: 3000 word Assignment
The certificate consists of 3 units. Students will attend college once a month for 5 months and will need to complete 3 written assignments at Level 5 to complete the qualification. Students will have 9 months to complete the course
Unit 1: Introduction to Management Coaching and Mentoring
This unit is about introducing the practice of management coaching and mentoring and the impact on Human Resources Development and performance.
Delivery: 1 training day
Assessment: 3000 word Assignment
Unit 2: Using Coaching and Mentoring Skills as a Manager
This unit is about the development of skills and the impact of learning styles as a manager engaged in mentoring and coaching as well as ensuring ethical frameworks are established.

Students will have the option to complete one of the following
Coaching Practice and Theory
The unit is about the development of effective tools and techniques, relationships and interventions to facilitate coaching within the organisation.

Mentoring Practice and Theory
This unit is about understanding the tools and techniques in mentoring, developing relationships and understanding interventions.

This Highfield qualification is aimed at individuals who are, or intend to be food handlers working in catering and hospitality industries, food retail, manufacturing and Health and Social Care provisions.
It is also appropriate for those providing services to catering premises including pest control operators, maintenance engineers, cleaners and laundry and delivery personnel.
It is recommended that staff that prepare open high risk foods or handle food and have a supervisory role must have training to a level equivalent to a Level 2 in Food Safety within 3 months of starting work.
