Course Overview: 

The Level 3 Diploma qualification is designed for supervising or junior managers, and has been designed to support the development of their knowledge and competence in managing individuals and teams. They are suitable also for new recruits into the industry.
The qualification is a combined qualification, which means it is made up of both knowledge and competence units, and will develop such skills as working with others, managing oneself and coordinating the work of others.
To achieve a CMI Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management & Leadership mandatory units totalling 31 credits plus an additional 24 credits from a variety of Optional Units must be achieved. Opportunities to personalise the qualification are available by the selection of a wide range of optional subject matters including:
 
·         Manage individual’s performance in the workplace
 
·         Chair and lead meetings
 
·         Encourage innovation
 
·         Manage conflict within a team
 
·         Manage a budget
 
·         Manage physical resources
 
·         Implement change
 
·         Recruitment, selection and induction practice
 
·         Prepare for and support quality audits
 
·         Negotiate in a business environment
Fee £1200 vat exempt up to 70% funding subject to eligibility 18 months duration

Entry Requirements: 

A short interview via telephone, skype or face to face may be required with the tutor

Course Delivery: 

The qualification may include a choice of different delivery styles, including classroom, distance learning and blended learning – combining classroom and online education, whilst the competency qualification is work based allowing students to reflect on actual working practices.
The qualification is assessed by assignments, against clear learning outcomes setting out the knowledge and skills needed by managers at different levels. Assessment tasks are practical and work based, reflecting live business projects and activities – a real benefit to both individual learners and their organisations.
 

Progression Opportunities: 

The qualification provides opportunities for progression to other qualifications at higher levels, which could also be work-based or more academically structured, and may also support learners in meeting the requirements for work and/or employment within all areas of management and leadership at this level.
