Overview

This qualification aims to develop higher-level study skills and an extensive knowledge and understanding of housing across a broad range of topics. It will explore the areas of housing policy, law and professional practice, which supports the development of your own personal growth and engagement in learning and housing.

Throughout the course, you will be able to reflect critically on housing policy and practice. 

The Level 4 qualification is suitable for experienced housing professionals who have been working in the sector at management level. It is also suitable for those aspiring to work at supervisory level, those wishing to develop advanced skills, or those new to a housing management or supervisory role.

Learners who have completed the Level 3 CIH Certificate in Housing can also progress to this qualification.

Key information

To undertake this qualification you must be working in housing or a housing related industry.

The underpinning knowledge of the qualification will be delivered over 12 months through full-day sessions every six weeks. Learners will have access to online resources and will be assigned a trainer who will provide on-going support throughout the qualification.

We offer workshops both face-to-face at your place of work or within the College*, as well as remote delivery which provides an opportunity to connect with others in the housing industry to network and share best practice.

To successfully complete the qualification, learners will undertake an assignment at the end of each module to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding. Assessments will differ for each unit, and will include in-class activities and post-class activities. 

Throughout the duration of the studies, this will actively promote and improve academic writing skills, ICT skills, collaboration and personal presentation skills.
