Providing Financial Services QCF Level 2 Award or Certificate
This qualification is designed for learners who work in banks, building societies, mortgage providers, debt collection agencies, finance/H.P. providers and customer service organisations - this qualification can be tailored to suit anyone whose role involves providing financial services.
At the conclusion of the programme, the expected learning outcomes are that the student will:
- Understand their roles and responsibilities and be able to discuss, agree and implement a personal development plan
- Be able to identify work objectives and develop a plan to meet objectives, both personally and with a team.
- Be able to identify and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Reflect on and enhance their selling skills.
- Understand and demonstrate the key elements in providing excellent customer service.
- Be able to effectively process financial transactions.
No formal entry requirements required.
The course consists of six units, three mandatory and three optional units.The optional units are tailored to the individual’s specific area of finance (three mandatory and five optional for debt collection)
Mandatory units:
- Improving and maintaining workplace competence in a financial services environment
- Planning and organising work in a financial services environment
- Complying with regulations within the financial services environment
Optional units are tailored to suit the individual sector. The units cover a range of topics including customer service, sales, sales administration and personal development.
Progression to Level 3 Certificate in Providing Financial Services, IFS qualifications, business administration, management and customer service qualifications.
One day course to be held at GCS Training, monthly meetings thereafter at learner’s workplace.

This Level 4 qualification is aimed at experienced electricians with a good knowledge of inspection and testing and will develop a deeper understanding of the principles of installation design and specification. The course is theory based, taking candidates from a basic knowledge of BS 7671 to a thorough grasp of design principles to meet the requirements of that standard and particularly emphasising on the safe and ergonomic design on an installation which complies with relevant statutes, regulations; industry standards, and sound engineering practices.
