Course Overview: 

This one day course introduces the concept of risk assessment in the workplace. It provides information on the importance of risk assessment as a proactive method of health and safety management and the practical application of risk assessment in the workplace.

The course is suitable for all employees and managers with responsibility / involvement in risk assessment activities at work.

The CIEH courses are nationally recognized and respected qualifications, designed and quality controlled by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Entry Requirements: 

No previous Health and Safety knowledge is required.

Course Delivery: 

Modules include

  • Accidents and ill health
  • Legal requirements for risk assessment
  • Principles of risk assessment – HSE 5 steps
  • Hazard identification
  • Hierarchy of control
  • Review and record keeping

This CIEH Level 2 course is delivered as a one day session.
Candidates should note that CIEH Level 2 courses are assessed by a multiple choice test.
A certificate is issued by CIEH denoting successful achievement of the course.
