Hospitality and Catering Training Courses

This Highfield qualification is aimed at individuals who are, or intend to be food handlers working in catering and hospitality industries, food retail, manufacturing and Health and Social Care provisions.  It is also appropriate for those providing services to catering premises including pest control operators, maintenance engineers, cleaners and laundry and delivery personnel. It is recommended that staff that prepare open high risk foods or handle food and have a supervisory role must have training to a level equivalent to a Level 2 in Food Safety within 3 months of starting work. WorldHost Principles of Customer Service - Level 2 Award 100% Funded

This award is a fully-funded one-day short course, which will comprehensively cover the essential principles of customer service for the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism industries, as well as many other industries where customer service is the key to success.

Highfield Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders 100% funded

This qualification is aimed at individuals working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol. Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence.
This qualification is aimed at those working in the catering industry who are at, or wish to progress to, a higher or supervisory level.

Highfield Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing -100% funded subject to eligibility

Who is this qualification for? This qualification is aimed at individuals responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP systems and is intended predominantly for learners already working in manufacturing and who have a sound knowledge of food safety hazards and controls. HACCP is regarded by the Foods Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice in the production of safe food.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Food Allergen Management in Catering 100% funded

This qualification is aimed at individuals responsible for the purchase, delivery, production and serving of food in the catering industry and is also suitable for those who own/manage a small catering business. This qualification is supported by Allergy UK, who regard it as suitable staff training for catering outlets that wish to apply for their Allergy Aware Scheme. These include the manager's role in ensuring that food ingredients and allergens are effectively managed, procedures relating to the communication of ingredient information from supplier to consumer, the importance of implementing controls to prevent contamination from allergenic ingredients, and the methods for managing ingredient controls and procedures.

Highfield Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering

The objective of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment in a catering role, or to support a role in the workplace. The qualification is intended for those whose job requires them to have some responsibility for food safety. Learners are likely to have management responsibilities for an operational team.
