Facilities management is a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology. Facilities management includes such diverse disciplines as: Health and safety, Fire safety, Security, Maintenance, Cleaning, Grounds maintenance, Caretakers, Property management, Business continuity, Space allocation, Change, and many, many, more.
IWFM Level 3 Facilities Management & Facilities Management Practice
Can form part of the Advanced Apprenticeship in FM
Facilities Management - the knowledge element. You will have a choice of different delivery styles; classroom; distance learning and blended learning (combining classroom and online education).
Facilities Management Practice – the competency qualification is a work based National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), commonly known as a Qualification Credit Framework (QCF).
These can be taken as two separate qualifications; or a combination of both, which could be part of an apprenticeship (including essential skills).
· IWFM Associate Grade Membership.
· IWFM Level 4 Facilities Management Qualifications
· IWFM Level 4 Apprenticeship Programs.
Facilities Management (knowledge). Length of course 12 months
There are a number of mandatory units, plus a choice of optional units which can be selected based on the individual needs of the student.
Facilities Management Practice (competence). Length of course 12 months
There are a number of mandatory units, plus a choice of optional units which can be selected based on the individual needs of the student.
The knowledge qualification is assessed by short answer question assignments, which can be submitted online. The competency qualification is assessed against clear learning outcomes setting out the knowledge and skills needed by managers at different levels.
Assessment tasks are practical and work based, reflecting live business projects and activities – a real benefit to both individual learners and their organisations.

This Highfield qualification is aimed at individuals who are, or intend to be food handlers working in catering and hospitality industries, food retail, manufacturing and Health and Social Care provisions.
It is also appropriate for those providing services to catering premises including pest control operators, maintenance engineers, cleaners and laundry and delivery personnel.
It is recommended that staff that prepare open high risk foods or handle food and have a supervisory role must have training to a level equivalent to a Level 2 in Food Safety within 3 months of starting work.
